Thinking of giving Flower Couloir a go this weekend, anyone know if there's still enough snow out there to make this happen? Thanks!

We are receiving reports that experienced backcountry travellers are pulling the plug early today and coming home due to avalanche concerns. Some folks are saying they are remote triggering 20 degree slopes from 70m away on surface hoar. Large natural avalanches (to size 3.5) are running in the alpine where windslabs have formed.

On December 30th a friend was involved in a slide at Tryst Lake in Kananaskis, AB.  While riding the 2nd last chute he was caught and pulled about 2/3 the way down toward the lake.  No injuries, but he did loose a black 2008 4FRNT EHP (193cm) ski with a Marker Baron binding.  If anyone sees it, a PM would be much appreciated as he would really like to get his ski back....

Hey all, New to the site and just getting back into the b/c and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on good locations in K-country (smith-dorrien highway), banff or along the parkway to go ski.  Looking for something that is not to huge or complex as I don't have a ton of experience.  Thanks in advance for any comments.
