winter survival

That's a great idea. You can try calling some local flight training schools. Often they make it manditory for new pilots. I have takin out aviation students from MRC. We gave them 3 items including what ever they could fit in a normal size paint can (survival kit). They were allowed to go in groups of two, this would give them 6 items, one being a shovel to build the snow cave. They learnt alot in 3 days. Early night fall in the winter isn't so scary when you have this training.
