Whitewater Forms Jr Freeride Team

New for the 2010/2011 Whitewater Ski Resort is launching the Whitewater Freeride Team.  The 12 week program is aimed at youth aged 12-17 and will operate similar to a traditional race team with one major difference - the competition venue. 

During the 12 weeks participants will have the opportunity to recieve coaching from two of Nelson's best freeriders, Peter Velisek and Dano Slater.  There will also be oppotunities to ski with current professional athletes and work with professional photographers and filmers.

In addition, the team will be attending 4 events this season, Red, Fernie, and Lake Louise Jr Freeski comps as well as the Kootenay Coldsmoke Powderfest Big Mountain Booter.

Finally, participants are eligable to receive huge discounts on new equipment through the Whitewater Freeride Team ski partners Dynsatar Lange/Look and Salomon.
