Transport to RED from ROSSLAND (or lack of)

Just finished 3 weeks in RED over from OZ.
As usual a stunning time!
This was my 5th season and was stunned to find no shuttle service from Town to the hill this year.

What gives?

Had to hitch a ride - with 3 kids not easy (though the wonderful townsfolk of Rossland always obliged)but not a good example for kids (hitching is a huge no-no here in Oz).

Wonder what first timers to the hill made of no shuttle service? :?
