The CBC is reporting that SSV will not be held accountable for the death of maintainence worker Karl Stunt, 25. Karl was reported to have 'died of massive head injuries after he was hit by a metal bar while working on a chairlift at the Banff resort."

Did you know Karl, or have any contact with this incident? Post your thoughts below. It's certainly tragic to see a young life snuffed out so soon, and by doing a job that enables others to have fun.

It sucks when someone dies

It sucks when someone dies for any reason. What interests me is why his co-workers where not charged as well as the ski hill, lack of attention or due-diligence on their behalf makes them just as guilty, if not more guilty then the hill.

Everyone always wants to blame the big bad corporation, but really, there is always an employee that could say NO, this shit isn't safe and we are not doing it. Takes balls to be one of those people, but you could save a life, maybe your own.
