Hi everyone,

Just joined up to the site. And was wondering if anyone could provide any assistance to help me plan my trip over in canada.

Just as a quick background to myself, im from melbourne australia. Been boarding in the victorian alps for a couple of years now, able to handle a board decently but still pretty fresh. Im making a trip to Canada for 3-4 months just travelling around from august to november/december. And was definitely hoping to give the canadian slopes a good run!

Was wondering if anyone could suggest where would be the best resorts to visit and when. I was defnitely hoping to visit whistler, but was hoping to board for at least 2 weeks to a month across various places. Im not sure how much a trip like that would cost, and as a backpacker I have limited funds. If anyone could give me an insight or information that would be great.

Cheers

Good to hear your making the trip! If you want to see the REAL BC, make sure you hit Red Mtn, Whitewater, and the towns of Nelson and Rossland. Whistler is our big tourist resort and has great skiing, but a budget would be better served in the Interior of the province, as well as it has the best dry pow. Also plan to give Lake louise a try if the snow is good. Fernie is also a really good bet. Cheers to you!
