Fall is creeping up our backs and fingers of shadow blue snow are loitering in the high cracks. Whitewater sold to a clutch of Alberta developers who intend on putting a new lift on the back-side so the dually truck drivers can get back there on thier RC4's and spit Skoal up when they fall into the tree-wells. Change is not always good, at some point, a place becomes the place everyone is trying to get away from. Generations of kids have learned how to ski the goods here, and frankly the kilometer walk from the back of the lot with all thier gear made them a little bit more credible. BTW Whats up with Red? Is that collective entropy festival at the base yielding the fruit the developers crave, or has the geographic proximity and real-estate market's erectile dysfunction caught up? Growth for the sake of growth is the ideology of a cancer cell.

Wow, your pretty smart dude. I have not seen the word entropy since university! I for one am looking forward to the change at Wh2o. Remember, you can change a lot "on" the mountain, but you cannot change "the" mountain. (Unless of course you got a put load of explosives). Also, don't fear, All the same folks will still be there.

Wow. Negative.
Not that I am all about development, but changes does not have to be bad, or something you have to move away from. Just be thankful that your ski hill was sold to actual skiers, that love the powder. I would bet you (gentleman's bet 'cause I ain't got no money) that Whitewater has itself some pretty decent owners (the only thing I am going to miss is the great food!) With the crashing economy, things will move slow, so don't worry, be happy.

Have no fear, the food will remain unchanged or possibly be even better. The previous owner really hasn't been in the kitchen that much in recent years anyways. I will definatly give two thumbs way down for lift access to the backside. nothing has happened yet though, maybe some strong local opposition could change some minds? there really are better spots for another lift anyways.

Oh YEAH! Whitewater has the best food of any ski resort ever! Oh Maybe Sun Valley is right up there too, but who can afford Sun Valley on a daily basis?
