Powder Mag has released photos of MSP's soon to be legendary Film shoot last month at Meadow and Vista Lodge areas. The best pics are yet to come but here's a taste test of what went on up there..

CAT SKIING AT CASTLE MTN
Well as advertised the morons who run Castle Mtn have started up a cat skiing operation. It is a complete joke, they have less than 600 acres all east facing. If I'm not mistaken Island Lake has 6000 acres covering all aspects. The terrain at Castle gets completely trashed after the third cat load of puanchy riders. Basically you get to pay $200 for a day of skiing old tracks. On top of all this at the bottom of the 1500' run you get to stand on your skis on a 2 degree incline for over a kilometer to get back to the village, wait in line to ride a chair that will stop at least three times on the way up, get back in the cat and ski some back country moguls.
If you want the best fall line lift serviced skiing in western Canada, buy a lift ticket and run laps in the South Chutes at Castle. If you want a back country cat skiing experience spend your money elsewhere
