I am looking for a nice "Big Line" to ride on Good Friday! Last week we did the Mt Chester NW couloir and it was epic. If any of you guys have suggestions that would be awesome. Something in the K country or the Bow summit area.

Thanks

word we've been hearing is that everything is good to go! The town shot down the face of Cascade mountain in banff would be cool.

Cool, Any pictures of that?

Sounds cool! Has that been skied before? Do you know where I can find some info on this.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Which Aspect?

Which aspect you would ride? South? I beleive the east aspect is the one facing the highway and I don't think you can ride that to the bottom as their is a ice fall if I remember right.

Go for a drive up the Parkway

Go for a drive up the Parkway and just look at stuff...there are a ton of options that are fairly close to the road that you can look at, and then go to.

The cornices that were

The cornices that were sitting on the sidewalls and above your line were baking in the sun since about 7am...did anything come down on you guys? I'm assuming that was your crew about 1/6th of the way up on the way up the couloir on Bow Peak at 2pm?

Bow peak Couloir Friday

Yes it was us. Nothing came down on us. It was still pretty cool up there. Event the fan at the bottom of the couloir was exposed to the sun for all morning and the snow was not melting. That is why we still went. The wind was keeping everything pretty cool. We did not come out of the couloir... that cornice was too big. We stopped under the big bolder and dropped in from there. The run was amazing! The center section was pretty choppy from the sluff getting hard but you still had some snow on the skiers left.
