Anybody skiing on the Onyx last year, any complains or praises.  I'm wanting a tech binding and wonder which one to go with.

Thanks

i've never tried the Onyx but

i've never tried the Onyx but all I know is once you go Tech, you will never want to go back. What boots are you going to use is my question?

onyx - totally not bad

I rode the onyx all last season on my Volkl Katanas with little or no issues whatsoever. The best gear is gear you don't notice, and even after the one (and only) small plastic part failure I was able to ski out the rest of the trip. Then G3 fixed it in a matter of minutes (as opposed to months for Dynafit out of Europe...).

All in all, they have securely held my boots (BD Factors) onto my skis across all conditions and terrain types and are noticably easier on the way up than my Duke's and Fritchi's.

WARNING - I'm fairly easy on my gear and your experience may vary....

I just bought a pair of BD

I just bought a pair of BD quadrants.  I had a pair of factors and they went to piece, a pair that was build on a monday morning or a friday afternoon kinda thing.
