This used to be a great forum... Now it seems that it's mostly died out.  Come on people start posting here again!  Opening day at Sunshine was great!  As was Kickinghorse.  Anybody else make both dates?

Is this forum dead- I hope not

No I hope it's not dead. Isn't Facebook and Twitter to be blamed for this?

and Kicking Horse was apperently sick on opening day, yesterday it was cold but hey, it was nice to be out there!

Kicking Horse opening day was

Kicking Horse opening day was one of their best ever!  Really fast-stick it powder and fresh tracks until 1:00 when I was burnt after 5 runs.

The forum's pretty slow.  Make it simple, easy, FAST.  At least that's how I remember it.

I was at both. Kicking horse

I was at both. Kicking horse was super good. All the crowds left by one so I was able to ski fresh all day. Plus on saturday they opened up fuze bowl so there was even more fresh.

But i gotta say sunshines opening was better. There was less runs open and more people but the snow was way lighter and fluffier then at kicking horse. Plus the garbage chutes were lots of fun.

the only thing rental skiis are good for is ridin on rocks

No kidding. It's very hard to figure out, especially when inebriated.

I think if you didn't have to

I think if you didn't have to wait minutes for the page to load it would help.  Once your in its good, but it takes for ever. What happened to all the posts about the lines everyone has skied, or the conditions, or the gear reviews? Where did it all go? Do we all want to keep very thing about the back country sercet?  It is nice to see all the spam gone, and  the post make the front page.

find the line, get to the line, ski the line, but don't cross the line.

hey guys- the site is still in the works, and we appreciate all of your feedback. Good things come to those who wait, right?

And to those of you who are looking for gear reviews, TRs, etc, we want to see yours, post it up.

Tweaking needed

I only registered here a relatively short time ago, I did periodically check on the site from time to time in the past. You guys did an excellent job of cleaning up the spam. It seems like it was during the time of the spamming that Biglines lost its momentum to other bigger forums. I don't know if people can be lured back but I think you guys are on the right track with the forums cleaned out.

One thing I like is that I can add an article besides posting in the forum. I don't understand why I also have a choice of creating a blog though. I think users should only have either the option of a Blog or Article, it just seems redundant to have all three options of submitting content. If you could eliminate either the Article or Blog option it would streamline content submission (at least in my opinion).

Another thing is that I can either post something for sale in the classifieds forum or in the Buy & Sell section. Why would I need two options for posting an item for sale? The forum is my choice for posting gear for sale.

I think the most annoying thing is that on the home page I can see a preview of the same article three times on the same screen without even scrolling. It's like I'm being bombarded with text but it's all from the same article. I think the "less is more" approach should be applied to the home page, please simply how many posts, tweets, blogs, articles etc. are shown.

None of my comments should be viewed as negative, I do commend the work done for revamping the site. The site has a layout that will work, it could use some tweaking to make it look more inviting.

too confused by the forum

too confused by the forum setup. why does each post have a new subject?

should make more simple. for example: www.clubveedub.ca

Word to your moms.

This site is a nightmare

I really hope this forum is not dead either, it has great potential. I used to love coming on to this site, however now it is a nightmare! The home page is an absolute mess, and the forum structure is terrible. Actually, this is my third attempt at trying to post this message, it should not be this difficult...how f'n times do I have to go through "word verification". It kills me that I now have to go to a US site for discussions. This site should be the first site riders go to when they logon, unfortunately it is not…and with its current structure I don’t see this happening anytime soon, let alone maintaining itself with industry paying for ads.  My suggestion is to keep is really simple, clean up the homepage (change it all together), get some interesting articles or videos, interview or video some pros (e.g. features), some contests, and fix this ridiculous forum structure. There needs to something that draws people back to this site, and this is not it, so I hope biglines has a plan. Sorry for the tough-love.

yup - licks balls

I've followed this website for a long time and was at one time an active forum user - this is my first visit back here in probabaly a year, and I gotta say, it's the worst I have ever seen it.  The home page is a total disaster, even worse than last years disaster.  Short of some idiot-savant-artist on acid does it view properly for anyone?  Seriously, what web browser of screen size do I have to use so that everything isn't overlapping everything else?  I came on here today to look for boots, the buy and sell is vacant, the forum is stagnant, not even a fortress thread to breathe some life into this ever fading corpse.  Actually, it was hard to even click on the forums tab cause there's an f'ing snowmax advert right on top of the tabs!  Are you kidding me?  Do your sponsors actually write you cheques each month?  I'd be embarrassed if my company was advertised on such an unprofessional looking shit show disaster of a home page.

This is too long in the making biglines, sorry, today was my last visit.

...I heard nate bought fortress. He's forgoing liftpasses in favour of some sort of a give-the-owner-a-handjob scheme. sounds like it has potential. Nice job getting Leonardo DiCaprio to your opening!
