In response to Joe Motha
To assume ski patrol do not take there jobs seriously by being mentaly aware and focused to perform first aid is an insult. To make the assumption that they are getting 'high' while at work is a very biased statement. Drug tests for resort staff is also a ridiculous idea. What brings staff to man the ski lifts, sell hamburgers, and sell you ski lift tickets each winter? Certainly not the high paying salary. The young adults like to have a good time and ski and ride on their days off. Yes encourgaging, and expecting staff to be sober when they are at work makes complete sense but forcing drug tests on staff...what staff? -RLM

Almost all hard drugs are out of your system within 24 hours. So honestly, what does a piss test prove? Find some weed you smoked 4 weeks ago, yeah it'll do that. Construction companies try this same game of drug testing, it's a nice little fantasy in some lawyer or WCB turds head but at the end of the day, good luck. The 'dangerous' drugs aren't caught, the meaningless junk is (unless you take a cleanser before the test, which if you are going to an interview I'm sure you'd just do that). Have you have a ski patrol offer you sub par treatment or something?

Sorry Joe, but dealing with a stoned liftie will always be an easier pill to swallow than living with the decisions of a hungover ski hill manager

ganga is not a drug
What about testing for antihistamines and cold remedies that leave one drowsy. Being hung over is far worse than being stoned for performance. Trust somebody on lithium, prozac or some other psychiatric drug??? Not!!! Baldhead hypocrites! We should be testing people that we allow into the mountains for worthiness and obliterating insurance companies. The ski industry is already too infected by Babylon system and instead of fighting for riteousness, we accept the perverse manifestations of modern status-quo society. more laws and regulations and controls is just a sign of failed society and descent into fascism. No insurance, no usury, no corporate socialism = low price lift tickets
