Hey -

After a few years of doing resort backcounty/ob stuff, I want to get into more out of resort type skiing. Don't know if I'm ready to plunge into a full AT/telly setup. Would it be totally retarded to do a snowshoe/alpine ski combo? Does anybody do this? Or is it mostly all AT & skins?

I have a pair of Verts snowshoes that I carry with me when I am touring on my pontoons. But the toons do have fritchis and skins to fit so the shoes only add versatility in the terrain which isn't favourable to touring on a reverse camber ski. I dont think I would consider shoeing only with my skiis on my back ALL the time. Skinning is very efficient and you can go a long distance quite easily.
