Gear Review: Black Diamond MegaWatt Ski

They’re fat, blue, and kinda look like waterskis. But beyond first impressions, the Black Diamond Megawatt ski is both Mega fun and Mega versatile. I thought I was going to be saving the Megawatt for only the deepest powder days, but it proved to be a great ski for all-mountain conditions on most ski days.

Well, today didn't suck. W/B received half a meter of snow in the past 48 hours, and a few of us went up the mountain to do some serious quality testing. You know, to make sure Whistler Blackcomb is still the top ski resort in North America. Results are in: it still is.

Friday Funday at Whistler Blackcomb: Enough Snow for Everyone

My days of the week go as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Fraturday, Saturday, and newly-discovered 'Funday,' which happens to fall on the real world's Friday, but in reality is Sunday in my work/ski calendar. And Funday it was on January 15th, with 70cms pounding Whistler Blackcomb in 24 hrs. I almost had to go buy a snorkel, seriously. Read more for pics and the story.
