Say what you will about the internet, it's like a gigantic treasure chest of shredtacular awesomeness. Take this vid here, for example. I'm not even sure how we stumbled across it, but I'm pumped that we did. This guy's a jack of all trades who just dropped a wicked multi-sport edit that we would have never seen were it not for the magical powers of the interweb.

Ralph Backstrom is known for his ability to dominate the Freeride Competitions in less than ideal conditions. So that means he can really shatter barriers when he gets himself in the perfect pow around Valdez. Mr.Backstrom's a total boss. This one's worth dropping into.

Getting the F$#& out of dodge and heading towards the surf in the Fall is the absolute BEST way to make winter show up a little sooner. Instead of doing 360's on your bed with your new skis on, you could be dodging heaving lips and trying your hand at the hardest sport in the world for a month or so. Then you get back to North America and BOOM . . . winter's here. It's kinda like time travel...

Whoahhhhhhhhh . . . way to step it up! This in one of the sicker promo vids we've peeped in a long time. Contour's been making moves lately (read: strapping their camera to Travis Rice and Eric Hjorleifson) and producing a crispy headcam for the coming winter season. This is a good edit too ; it really gives you a sense of what you can do with their device.

This video is a compilation of some of my favorite moments towards then end (April-July) of the 2011-2012 ski season in Little Cottonwood Canyon, Utah.  This season I made the pilgramage West from Connecticut, to SLC to ski after quitting my job and selling all the unecessary items I didn't need.  It's a journey that I don't regret for a second as it is now a permanent lifestyle choice.

In this episode of Grete Eliassen’s Truth Or Dare, presented by Oakley, Grete meets up with fellow Teton Gravity Research skier Dash Longe in Utah to play the classic, risqué game. Of course, Dash comes in hot and chooses ‘Dare,’ so Grete gives him one that’s cold as ice.Grete Eliassen’s Truth Or Dare, presented by Oakley, is a quirky web series shot entirely on GoPro cameras. In each episode the...

It seems like the majority of the snowboarders in the Whistler area get so bogged down by backcountry booters and man-made terrain parks that they forget about the possibilities outside their narrow fields of vision. That's why it's nice to know that Dave Short is bringing back some footage of his own silent, deadly approach to snowboarding in the Sea to Sky.

Watching snow porn can be a frustrating endeavour. The only way to--errrrrrrrrrrrrrr--relieve yourself afterwards is to throw down a couple grand on a flight to somewhere in the southern hemisphere. Here's a vid from Treble Cone's opening day last year. It opens on June 28th this year and they've got a decent base piling up, so check out the vid then talk dirty to your travel agent.

This season pretty much sucked for most of us in the States. With the lowest snowfall in recent memory, good days this year were few and far between. I can count on one hand the number of pow days I skied. I can count on several more hands the number of times I said to myself, "I hope there are no rocks under there." Yet I still managed to have fun on low snow pack and variable conditions. This...

Last weekend a crew of 5 headed up a very extreme 4x4 road into the Ptolemy Valley in the Crowsnest pass for some ski touring and caving. We accomplished 2 of my 4 objectives, explore Cleft cave, and have a great time with friends. I am definately keen to go back for the other 2, Explore Gargantua cave, still burried by snow, and summit Mt Ptolemy.
