This season pretty much sucked for most of us in the North America. With the lowest snowfall in recent memory, good days this year were few and far between. I can count on one hand the number of pow days I skied. I can count on several more hands the number of times I said to myself, "I hope there are no rocks under there." Last weekend a crew of 5 headed up a very extreme 4x4 road into the Ptolemy Valley in the Crowsnest pass for some ski touring and caving. We accomplished 2 of my 4 objectives, explore Cleft cave, and have a great time with friends. I am definately keen to go back for the other 2, Explore Gargantua cave, still burried by snow, and summit Mt Ptolemy.

This new installment of the Powsurf Chronicles is reminiscent of a mid-90's skateboard video. Jeremy Jensen, ever the ninja, sure makes his invention look like a lot of fun. CHECK IT!

This Kid and his his crew are taking a freestyle background and leeting it loose on the sick terrain that Stevens Pass has to offer. I had a chance to shred with Matt in Whistler at the beginning of this season and I know he was especially devastated by the tragic avalanche that happened down in Stevens Pass. So this is Matty and his crew moving forward and doing what they love in honour of their...

Holy Cats! Those powsurfers look like a lot of fun. And Jensen's a ninja with his Gopro, so you get a good sense of what those boards are like to ride. CHECK IT! (We only use all caps when we're really serious).

There is sad news today in the world of speed flying. Reknowned star Antoine Montant has been found by friends dead in the mountains after he went for a solo wing suit descent. Just Acro reported the news on their website earlier today. Antoine was known for his speed flying descents of the Eiger and for skimming the cable line on a lift in Chamonix. He was 30 years old.

BACK UP! This video is pretty unbelievably scary and funny (because he's ok - we assume). It's amazing what can happen when you let your guard down for even a moment on top of a peak. Click straight through to minute 1:00 for the action but if you watch the whole thing, it builds the suspense.
