Here's a barrage of Freeride madness from the FWT CHamonix 2013. Everyone always says that true progression happens when people take freestyle moves into big mountain terrain, and we definitely saw a lot of that on the last two tour stops. The athletes get a bit of rest now as they prep themselves for the Kirkwod Comp at the end of February.

Hey man....you remember that time in the early 80s when we were riding that filthy line in europe, laying out tasty slashes in our sandal strap bindings, and we got chased by like 25 monoboarders? Then we aired that train to get away from them and once we were back in the alpine we went paragliding, then we took some rafts through some pow and then jumped out of a hot air baloon? Well, it's been...

There is sad news today in the world of speed flying. Reknowned star Antoine Montant has been found by friends dead in the mountains after he went for a solo wing suit descent. Just Acro reported the news on their website earlier today. Antoine was known for his speed flying descents of the Eiger and for skimming the cable line on a lift in Chamonix. He was 30 years old.

Many in North America have heard of Xavier de le Rue but don't know much else about this big mountain shredder, even though he's the 3 time, World Freeride Tour Snowboard Champion and looking like a shoe-in for a 4th title. Biglines.com caught up with Xavier to chat about his webisodes, his raddest big lines and the criticism that he's got a reckless style.
