TR: Spring time in the Rockies
Submited By alberta_hoser On 2007-05-07
Spring is a very special time of the year. Life returns to the forests, bears start poking their head out their dens, and rockies skiers head to lines they've been waiting for all season. My little part of the world is blessed with killer terrain, great snow, but the stability is usually lacking throughout the winter months. In spring, the melt-freeze cycle gives daily windows of opportunity to those who wake early and hike fast. However, the past two weeks have been filled with snowfall instead of sunshine. Unanticipated and unexpected, these storms have rolled in for the past two weekends in a row. The big lines will wait, for now we're still skiing pow.

Eat your heart out global warming.
Skier: Me
Photog: Jeff

Little air beside waterfall, 12cm overnight and nobody showed up.
Skier: Me
Photog: Jeff

Jeff throttles waterfall.
