RAC level 1 and some hardpack in the Dive.

So I finished my RAC level 1 this weekend and skied Delirium on Sunday. We are in dire need of snow but I did a little snow dance today and the forecast is looking up. Big low pressure system moving into B.C. right now and hopefully it makes its way over here. <br /> <br />Saturday at Bow summit, I didn't take many pictures because I was too busy digging pits. <br /><img width="490px" src="http://www.biglines.com/photosv2/2006/12/120x120/biglines_69229.jpg" /> <br /> <br />Above the treeline <br /> <br /><img width="490px" src="http://www.biglines.com/photosv2/2006/12/120x120/biglines_69230.jpg" /> <br /> <br />I tried a few closeup shots today but the camera I'm using right now isn't to great for them. This one turned out alright. <br /> <br /><img width="490px" src="http://www.biglines.com/photosv2/2006/12/120x120/biglines_69231.jpg" /> <br /> <br />...I prefer this one however. Observation peak in the background. <br /> <br />Sunday I slept in a little bit but I didn't miss much. Super fun day riding but conditions in the Dive were sub par. Ended up skiing a lot of Standish and continental. Anything in the sun was fairly soft but the Dive remained in shadows all day. We actually lost some snow over the past week due to higher temps and clear skies. <br /> <br /><img width="490px" src="http://www.biglines.com/photosv2/2006/12/120x120/biglines_69236.jpg" /> <br /> <br />Bluebird. <br /> <br /><img width="490px" src="http://www.biglines.com/photosv2/2006/12/120x120/biglines_69234.jpg" /> <br /> <br />Tom dropping in, about to find out the meaning of windblown and crusty. <br /> <br /><img width="490px" src="http://www.biglines.com/photosv2/2006/12/120x120/biglines_69235.jpg" /> <br /> <br />It made for some fast skiing when you could get an edge in, Tom ripping down the lower portion of the bowl. <br /> <br /><img width="490px" src="http://www.biglines.com/photosv2/2006/12/120x120/biglines_69240.jpg" /> <br />Clouds started to blow in and eventually put the top of Delirium in low cloud for most of mid day. The cliffs in the foreground of this picture were very nice. (no pictures) <br /> <br /><img width="490px" src="http://www.biglines.com/photosv2/2006/12/120x120/biglines_69237.jpg" /> <br /> <br />Visibility was decent for riding but not so great for pictures on lap 2. Me dropping into Bre-X (or starbucks) <br /> <br /><img width="490px" src="http://www.biglines.com/photosv2/2006/12/120x120/biglines_69233.jpg" /> <br /> <br />"Hey I'm floating!" <br /> <br /><img width="490px" src="http://www.biglines.com/photosv2/2006/12/120x120/biglines_69232.jpg" /> <br /> <br />Riding down the crux in a chute. <br /> <br /><img width="490px" src="http://www.biglines.com/photosv2/2006/12/120x120/biglines_69238.jpg" /> <br /> <br />The sun peaking out as we traverse out of Delirium. (the traverse to Fatboy is now basically unrideable) <br /> <br />The rest of the day was spent flying down continental with big gs turns and hitting 10 footers off of Standish headwall (snow was slightly softer there). Beautiful sunset but alas, my camera ran out of batters <br /> <br /> :icon_lol:
