While 24cm is often shrugged off as "just another Fernie dump" when you have been getting the pineapple treatment for a few weeks 24cm seems bottomless. And today, judging by the amount of people up on the hill, 24 cm was more than enough to get excited about.

While 24cm is often shrugged off as "just another Fernie dump" when you have been getting the pineapple treatment for a few weeks 24cm seems bottomless. And today, judging by the amount of people up on the hill, 24 cm was more than enough to get excited about.

The hill at the moment is prime across the mountain, with powdery soft knee deep turns right to the parking lot, all this on a bomber base. Speaking of this bomber base it is just that BOMBER, solid ice, and it is proving to be quite the weak layer. Check the Avalanche reports and be aware out there.

Forecast is calling for more snow tonight than we had last night. If this happens things are going to go off... just have to watch the avi hazard.
