Checkin in from the ISSW
Submited By Beck On 2006-10-03
After a hectic summer getting settled in Calgary, I'm back in Telluride visiting the 'rents and soaking in all the crazy avalanche science at the 2006 Inernational Snow Science Workshop. We've learned a ton in the last two days: from new stability tests to complex mathematical functions showing the spatial variability of weaknesses in the snowpack. I'm trying to get some interviews together right now to post a dispatch from the conference for all the biglines community. I should have some substance together in a couple of days. They have a new Ortovox S1 here, so I'm gonna give it a demo on thurs.

The weathers been kind of crappy down here, but being back up high in the mountains sure beats the cowtown bustle. I cant wait for winter and the sweet sweet pow that will blow our way.
