So thought I'd give it another shot. Week has been really busy and with my birthday and all the drinking I wasn't hoping for much. Just so we are clear, I am not biased towards Sunshine, but sometimes my head just hurts too much too drive to Louise.
Got up there and roads are pretty sketchy. I guess that's what you get when you got Aussies plowing the roads. They did a good job of driving around with the plow up and sanding the banks. Right at the entrance was a car pileup as some of them couldn't quite make it. Today I was happy with front wheel drive. Sun was shinning and it was warming up, overall prognosis so far, sick. Up at hill it was even better. Best day of 2007 winter so far. Angel, Goats Eye and Continental were all open with healthy snow levels. I scraped a few rocks over the Headwall but that's my own stupid fault. Sunny all day and for a little while felt like spring. I checked the weather and they are forecasting more snow over the next week. It's gonna be awesome so if you get a chance, go!

I am always amazed at how spread out every one is at Sunshine. I didn't find it busy and I didn't really have to wait in any lines on the chairs I was on. Yet, when I left there were cars parked all the friggin way down the Sunshine road.

Yup Saturday 8th. I definitely agree that if you were there during weekday it would've been epic. But compared too two weeks ago it was a big step up. I am holding out for bc trips as well but I am just as happy shredding on a sunny day with no rocks and few lineups.

Today as in Saturday Dec. 8th, Sunshine pretty much sucked. Definately not the best day by a long shot. I was skiing powder on Thursday, Wednesday, Tuesday and Monday. Maybe that has put a jaded taste in my mouth as to what "good" conditions are?! Today was definately choppy. No more complaining though, I am off to the b.c. for tomorrow well away from the crowds and chowder.
