From Winter to Summer

So I just returned from Whistler to my home in Tahoe.

I made it up for Blackcomb’s opening day and as many of you know the snow was good! Over the next several days we skied powder, groomers, and a bunch of permanent closures since the Alpine lifts were not open. I made turns with Dana Flahr, Ian McIntosh, Dan Treadway and many other Whistler folks.

I returned to not even a trace of snow and fairly warm weather. Today I saw people walking around in shorts and t-shirts… very depressing. I know it is not even December yet and this is common but it’s still hard to swallow.

Whistler looks like its setting up for another great season. Hopefully we will get some snow around here soon. I can see the tension building in people around here and the rest of the states.
