Free Refills (of POW) at Whistler Blackcomb!
The winds were howling on Wednesday so only Crystal chair, Jersey, and Solar Coaster mid-mountain chairs were spinning. The Crystal lift line was choc-full of powder-covered shredders. The winds were howling all day and the snow continued to fall. The best part was the free refills of powder every single lap.
Post-forest-fire CBC trees are awesome lately. I've heard so many people lately saying "holy, I went into CBCs and didn't know where I was going because the trees look different." Once you get your bearings, however, it's amazing skiing through there.

I lapped Fraggle Rock a bunch of times, skiing through the burn there too and it was sooo good. With the bomber base we have at WB there is hardly any concern of hitting sharks when dropping pillows and cliffs. After a well-deserved lunch I headed out with Josh Plouffe, Sheldon Steckman, and Jay Brinkman to navigate uncharted territory off of Excelerator chair.

Thursday was fantastic because the alpine opened- and with some strategic chairlift timing we managed to score first tracks down the Grey Zone chutes and punched the entrance into upper CBCs. We were greeted with neck-deep snow and, of course, faceshots. My Black Diamond Megawatts have been perfect for the conditions, especially for blasting down the amazing pillow lines on Blackcomb, as seen above.
Today there are another 5cms waiting for us up there and I should probably get going, oops- more to come.
