On A Never Ending Search For Powder...
Now’s the time to start planning your big mountain skiing at
Skiers Lodge Guideservice for the coming season. Those of you who have been here before will know that we are
perfectly positioned for the biggest lift-accessed off piste skiing in the world. Our ”New Lodge” accomodation at 1450 metres altitude in the village of La Grave is only five minutes walk away to the lift.
Our” New Lodge” accomodation at 1450 metres altitude in the village of La Grave
Some people say that the view across the valley to the North face of La Meije is one of the best in the world. That’s where it starts. You also get…
- Comfortable twin or triple rooms
- Big buffet breakfasts and 4-course gourmet dinners. Wide selection of wines
- Relaxing lounge area with open fireplace and sofas
- Situated on the lower level you will find a fully stocked bar
- A terrace overlooking the mountain
We must stress that the La Grave/La Meije ski area is not a resort adapted for skiers, it is the skier that must adapt to the mountain. To those new to big mountain skiing, we offer terrain progression program. There are
2,150 vertical metres (7,050+ feet) of completely unmanaged freeriding terrain to enjoy on the
La Meije massif - within the Parc des Ecrins, France’s largest national park.
Skierslodge Guideservice
Here’s how it works
The Skiers Lodge guide service offers advanced and expert skiers fully qualified guiding in small groups (a maximum of 5 skiers per guide)
- The guides, all IFMGA-UIAGM qualified, speak English, French, Swedish or German
- Specialist safety equipment provided
- Groups get organised according to ability the night before so that we can be the first on the mountain
- When not skiing La Meije, we offer road trips to discover secret off piste areas for big skiing in places like Alpe D’Huez, Serre Chevalier and parts of Italy, all within 25 minutes to an hour’s drive.
- Transport from the lodge to our ski destinations and to collect you after descending a remote ski route is provided.
All of this is included in our weekly package price.
