'In the haze' is a new movie created by Matt Schwagler & Jeff Thomas who ride the coastal range. They got the gear together, started filming and made a movie, pretty cool. Working with Newschoolers.com and a bunch of rad photographers to get this thing going, we just wanted to find out what was up.

BL:Where are you from?


Jeff- Whistler BC/Vancouver
BC Matt- Redmond, WA


BL:Home Mountain?


Jeff- Whistler and Seymour
Matt- Alpental, WA


BL:How long skiing? filming?


Jeff - I have been Skiing
for 17 years and shooting video for about 5, seriously for about
2-3 Matt- I have been skiing for around
14 years and shooting for around 2-3 years.. but i have really gotten
into it that past year or so...


BL:How did you learn how to make movies?


Jeff- I started in High
school and Now am attending film school. Matt-
Watching others.. and always practicing hours on end.


BL:How did you support the film?


mild sponsors and Our own pocket change


BL:What's gonna be the best segment?


Jeff-It will really
be hard to determine a best segement in my opinion. Each segement
will be pretty intense cause we spend soooo much time, fixing up
segments and pefecting sound and video corelation. Matt-
Hard to tell right now, hopefully each is equally badass.

BL:What type of camera's was it shot on?


The video was shot on various 3ccd mini dv and 16mm.

Matt- Everyone who has helped us like
jeff said, but a big thanks to ryan black, for the killer editing
equipment hes hookin us up with. Grant Gunderson for always coming

the riders, without them this shit doesn't happen.
