Every year Commit Snow and Skate along with The Royal Hotel join forces hosting the coolest event to take place in the back ally's of Fernie, BC.
The Commitment to Pain is a non profit event the Laurin brothers, owners of Commit Snow and Skate created a fews ago.
With the help of many volunteers the parking lot and back ally at the Royal get transformed into a jib course, DJ Fedski hits the wheels of steel and a super radical jib extravaganza ensues.
This years set-up resembled a tech skate park with rails, a keg tap, spines, and a mini quarter. A railing drop quickly became part of the set-up with several riders including super chick Jamie Warrener getting up on the Balcony and acid dropping onto the spine. Gnarly.
Booze as always played a major part in the event. The winner took home a keg of Fernie's finest. Everyone got down, whether on a board on gripping a cold one.
