Out of all the packs I've ever worn, this is the most comfy and by far the best looking. The Hjorleifson Signature series day pack from Deuter AKA the "EH Edge" is everything you would expect from the man himself.

Stash This

This pack is probably the most snug and stable fitting pack I have ever used. Even jimmied to serve as the home for a midsized camcorder, the pack stayed in place and performed just how you'd want it to.

I love the classic beige look which mimics the famous Deuter Tauren mountaineering packs from the 40's. Low key, unassuming, sexy, lethal.... and most of all... waterproof. You wouldn't guess it too look at, but under the camel looking exterior lies a superior water resistant layer which keeps the cookies and sandwiches from getting sloppy.

Another great thing about this pack is the size. From the outside it doesn't look all that big, but take a look inside and its a bottomless pit. It boasts a probe and shovel handle sleeve, fleece lined goggle pocket and plenty of space for food, water and some extra layers. A front pocket seals out the wet of skins and a shovel and holds them firm preventing slop and close at hand for when they are needed. Rear entry means easy access even with skis or a snowboard fixed to the outside. It holds skis along the side or a snowboard in place vertically on the front and compresses well when not completely full. Gear loops on the hip belt accommodate ice-screws and glacier gear if you are so inclined. To boot, the Edge is hydration compatible. Bingo! You have pack where everything has a place and there is a place for everything without too many straps and useless bling.

This pack is for the no nonsense skier, the person who takes their black and strong, their lines smooth and clean. It might look old fashioned, but it is founded on a pioneering spirit and with imput from one of the rowdiest skiers in the game right now, there is no denying this is a modern tool for the shredder at heart.

The Hjorliefson Signature series also boasts a larger pack, the "EH Guide". This pack is built to bring the kitchen sink and the wife along for the adventure.
