The Telus Festival and Whistler play host to the premier action sport photographer showdown on the planet. This year was once again a spectacle that leaves us inspired and flabbergasted as viewers. Five professionals took the stage and impressed a crowd of two thousand plus viewers at the Telus Conference Center in WHistler British Columbia. Images of Skatebording, Snowboarding, Surfing, Skiing, and Mountain Biking graced the screens.
The invited talents included, Pete Taras (Surf Photographer), Nick Hamilton (Snowboard Photographer), Endre Lovaas (Ski and Bike Photographer), Jeff Curtis (Snowboard Photographer), and Jody Morris (Skateboard Photographer).
After much deliberation by the esteemed panel of judges it was Jody Morris who rose to the top with images of a massive covert project in the middle of a desert that included Tony Hawk and Shawn White. Jody takes home a cash prize of Ten Thousand Dollars and of course the illustrious bragging rights of Best in Show at the Pro Photographer Showdown.
If you have not been able to attend this event in the past make sure you mark it on your calender for next year. Come and be inspired!
