2007 has marked the official Girlski tour, an innovated all encompassing catskiing female ski trip. Island Lake Lodge and Powder Cowboy have created the ultimate 3 day all girl package of a lifetime. The tour includes not only catskiing… but a opportunity to indulge yourself in a atmosphere of new friends, relaxation, reenergizing and “the soft dry powder of the Canadian Rocky Mountains!”.
The tour offers “ACMG certified female guides and female cat drivers will take great care of you and your sisters while you explore run after run of untracked powder” expressed Christa Moffat from Island Lake Lodge.

The best thing about Powder Cowboy's Girlski 2007 is...well, the cast of girls.
To loosen up our muscles before skiing, Christa led us in yoga sun salutations. With the expertise of a seasoned professional, Kir hand-plucked an endless supply of British Columbia untracked powder romps for our pleasure. Assistant guide Olivia, our tailgunner, employed the patience of a saint as she played caboose always laying the last tracks. Cat driver Libby spun the big red Princess around steep switchbacks and across knife-edged ridges to deliver us to the best runs and then race to meet us at the bottom with a "Dude, how was it?!"
Laughter resounded on the slopes from green goggled Emma as she test-rode a fatty pair of Pontoons. Her skiing partner "Orange Pants"-otherwise known as Sara-Jane-threw a few powder tricks and flopped down into the fluff at every opportunity to rest. Four "Winner-pegger" women formed the backbone of Girlski-Linda, Jill, Diane, and Patty-keeping the run tally and amping up the adjectives as each run outdid the previous. At the end of each run, Christine's smile spoke for all of us-big, from the heart, and downright happy. When we returned nightly to Bull River Ranch for our celebratory drinks, Mel's Montreal-accented "And how was your day?" made me gush out superlatives. The skiing floated far beyond movie powder, far beyond imagination, but the camaraderie made Girlski sail to another dimension.
