During the official unveiling, the Rogers Terrain Park will be at full operation, thanks to the addition of Grizzly Terrain Park section. The “Grizzly” will feature three new jumps, a wall ride, three different rail slides, a vertical log jib, plus a brand new beginner area. With this recent 4 acre add-on, the Rogers Terrain Park will swell in size to a total of 12 incredible acres.

“I had a preview of new Grizzly Terrain Park section on Sunday, and it looks fantastic.” said Mike Moynihan, spokesman for Sunshine Village. “My jaw dropped in amazement at the vertical log jib alone. The Rogers Terrain Park is without question the coolest in the Canadian Rockies.”

After the Grand Opening, the Rogers Street Team will be on hand during the Family Day long weekend, giving out shirts, hats, My Tego phone skins, lanyards, and other cool prizes. There will also be information available on the Rogers Ski & Ride Safety School program.

With an average of 30 feet of natural snow and 12 lifts, including the most quads in the Canadian Rockies, Sunshine each year attracts more than 500,000 skiers and boarders who enjoy more than 3,500 feet of vertical during Canada’s longest season stretching from November to the end of May.
