The Competition begins on Thursday and the judges have requested that the athletes send their way down ER-6 to start things off. The skiers left no cliff unhucked and no line unflossed during the venue inspection today. Despite the droves making their way down, the lines were relatively soft by the end of the day. With more snow forecasted for tonight and tomorrow, the skiers may actually be treated to something other than the hardpack snow characteristic of competition skiing. Either way spectators will likely be treated to large airs, dangerously fast skiing and the occasional tomahawk—as long as the skiers don’t blow off the competition and sink themselves into the powpow available on the rest of the mountain.
