Founded in an attempt to create a quality, original forum for independent filmmakers in Bozeman, the Cold Smoke Awards continues to grow in recognition, with over 100 submissions last year alone.

Founders and dreamers Brad Van Wert, Jeremy Mistretta, Anjin Herndon and Jonas Grenz have created an innovative independent film platform By sheer nature of its independent, grassroots status, it is dubbed an innovative display of the “light and dry” lifestyle of the people who are out there just to do it.

The categories include: Best Pow Sequence, Best Line, Best Hairball, Best Chunder Session, Best Social Conduct, Best Humor, Best Jib and Best Overall.

All films are judged by a panel of 10 qualified judges, culminating into a wild and zany awards night celebration. All entries receive free entrance into this audience interactive awards ceremony, scheduled April 2nd, 2005, 6:00 p.m. at the Emerson Cultural Center in Bozeman, Mont.

Submissions are due on March 21st on Mini-DV only with a 20-minute time limit.

Send submissions to:
