Of course it's still skiing in November so the proper amount of caution still needs to be excercised. Our crew got through the weekend clavicles intact but there's lots of sharks out there waiting for the overamped skier. The places that are filled in, however, are riding like it's mid winter, only there's no icy moguls underneath.
There were four chairs open, the highest one being Jersey cream. The patrol declared anything that hadn't been compacted to be outside of the area boundary, so other parts of the mountain were available to those keen on hiking. We did a lap in the Extreme Dream and were blown away by the quality of the turns.Also, there's some fun looking rails set up under the chairlift if you're looking to show off your new pink item(s) of clothing. Some people are saying it's the new brown.
It was snowing when we left and Whistler opens on Thursday.The mountains are in great shape right now but they'll really set up once they get another dump.There's already a 90 centimeter base and the pow in the forecast will open things up for real.
You should probably go get drunk and celebrate the fact that winter has arrived on the coast.Going riding before and/or after said activity is also suggested.
