Lake Louise’s Skoki Lodge was rated in the “Top 10 Winter Hideaways” by National Geographic Adventure Magazine (December 2003/January 2004). The magazine states, “you can learn a lot from the old guys. And this guy’s the
oldest of them all,” as Skoki lodge was built in 1930. This ski in lodge “sits at 7,100 feet in Banff’s high alpine region; it’s surrounded by five valleys, more than a half dozen lakes and striated peaks,” the magazine adds.

Skoki Lodge is set in the majestic landscape of Banff National Park and is accessed from Lake Louise Mountain Resort, owners and operators of the historical lodge. Skoki is accessible by an eight-mile (11 km) ski in, or a hike in the summer months (achievable by all ability levels). The lodge can accommodate twenty-two guests with its main lodge and three surrounding
