It’s already snowing in the Andes! Fresh powder is falling from Portillo, Chile to the volcanoes in Patagonia, and is forecasted to continue today. 45 cm of new snow fell over night in some areas. PowderQuest is down there and gearing up for their 6th season guiding professional ski and snowboard tours and camps in Chile and Argentina.

PowderQuest offers you the following powder adventures for 2004, June-October:

Backcountry Focus Tours: Your choice of 4 classic trips guided by our certified North American ski guides. Based at various ski resorts throughout the Andes allows us to enjoy the local culture, food, and comfortable lodging, while having several options to get us into the backcountry via hiking, ski touring, and heliskiing.
Basing at the local resorts allows us to be more flexible on days we cannot get into the backcountry due to weather, instability and in the snowpack. Inbounds skiing in the Andes offers thousands of acres of excellent advanced and expert powder skiing. 8 guests maximum. Advanced and Experts only.

Resort Focus Tours: For the intermediate to expert looking for a comfortable resort style trip and optional guided off-piste adventures. The goal here is to introduce you to the best on and off-piste inbounds skiing in the Andes. Our expert guides show you the best skiing, avoiding the crowds, and taking you to the best snow according to wind direction, slope aspect, recent snow fall and local knowledge. We will show you our favorite lines and secret spots. If you want to score the goods like the locals, get the most out of your time skiing on your vacation, and avoid studying a map that ends up landing you in an hour long lift line on a bunny slope, this trip is for you. Moderate to Superior lodging options, 10 guests maximum.

Alpine Touring Focus: Grab your Alpine Touring (Randonee) gear or splitboard and come visit us this summer for some of the best backcountry ski touring on Earth. Our home base ranges from well known resorts with incredible backcountry alpine touring access, to remote mountain lodges tucked deep in the snow-drenched Andes.
We will spend our days touring the unique Andean terrain, saying “hasta manana” to civilization, and venturing off to distant and hidden valleys ascending touring routes set by your certified North American ski guides. Searching for fresh lines with daily objectives determined by you and your guides, be prepared to discover endless descents ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 feet plus!
