Revelstoke Mountain Resort hiring a full-time, year-round Social Media & Marketing Coordinator

Located five minutes from the beautiful town of Revelstoke, BC, Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is the only resort world-wide that offer lift, cat, heli and backcountry skiing from one village base.   To add to the list of accolades, RMR has the highest lift-accessed vertical drop in North America, access to 515,000 acres and receives an average of 50 feet of snow each year.

 Currently, we are adding to our sales and marketing team and are looking for a dynamic, motivated and creative individual who is not afraid to push the boundaries and utilize unique methods to promote, sell and market Revelstoke Mountain Resort and Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing.

 Social Media and Marketing Coordinator

Quite possibly, you have one of the best jobs in the business as you use your passion for new media and social marketing on a daily basis to promote and sell skiing and riding at Revelstoke Mountain Resort and Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing.  You possess the skills to create original content through photos and videos and utilize blogging, content management tools, Twitter, Facebook and emerging social media platforms to deliver your message. Your ability to go anywhere and ride anything on the mountain are just as important as your record of strong written and verbal communications skills, flair for creativity and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  Your work ethic, positive attitude and desire to launch your career at the most sought after resort on the continent, make you the ideal candidate.  

 Suitable combinations of education and experience will be considered.  Priority considerations are:

•  Post secondary education in business and/or marketing related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years experience, focused on sales and marketing, within the ski industry and a proven track record of success.
• Strong customer service skills and customer-focused mind set.
• Exceptional presentation skills and a confident public speaker.
• Knowledge of Photoshop, content management software, RTP and social networking applications is an asset.
• Must have the ability to work in high-pressure situations, have the ability manage multiple projects at once and be capable of consistently meeting deadlines.
• Enjoys working closely within a team environment but also capable of working independently with minimal supervision to achieve goals.
• A passion for a mountain environment and outdoor recreation; a strong skier or snowboarder is required.
