The North Face Opens Banff Store in Style

The Banff North Face store has chosen to donate a % of the earnings on it's specific Banff T-shirt to the Foundation, which oversees donating money to many other charities in Banff. A cheque for over $3,000 was given to the charity and was gladly accepted by Banff Community Foundation chair Dave McKenna and others.

TNF athlete, Pete Athans then gave an inspiring presentation about an archeological project that he has been apart of in Nepal. Pete has been instrumental in exploring a major cave system in Mustang, Nepal, where they have found pre-bhudist artifacts. The cave entrances require climbing skills to get to the entrances due to thousands of years of erosion.

Check out this youtube vid for more on that project.

"The North Face picked Banff because it's a meca of mountaineering and outdoor life. " said Canadian marketing director Corey Stecker, "Banff is a perfect fit with our brand and we're excited to be here."

Stop on by the new store, which is located at 124 Banff Ave. (near the Balkan) to see the entire line of TNF products.
