Mike Douglas and Cody Townsend pioneer a new realm of freeskiing. They take big freaking skis and tow into epic Hawaiian waves. Controversial. Mike D asks, is this cool? Or not...?

Big Up
That's the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. Big big up to those guys for finally doing what many including myself have fantasized about for years. Sure beats watching jibbing! Skiing waves is as natural as waterskiing ever was. Why waterski the flats when you can ride the steeps. Next step is water-skins and touring out to the waves instead of the jetski!!!

I think Cody and Mike forgot to bring some poles... I love skiing but this is nothing more than a novelty. I would be surprised if someone is able to bring style and soul into something like wave skiing.
