Fredrik Ericsson Dies On K2

Fredrik Ericsson has been reported killed on K2 in Pakistan this morning.  His official website is now saying that the extreme skier died in a fall while fixing ropes on the 'bottle neck' section of the Cesan route.

This would have been Fredrik's second attempt on K2 in as many years. Last year's attempt was cut short after his parnter, Michele Fait was killed after a tragic fall.
