In December and January of 2013/14 we had one of the lowest snow levels here since the 70's. The conditions were bad with the alpine being rocky and dangerous for any backcountry activity. Look at this Beast! She's beautiful from a distance, but it's hard not to think about what it would be like to be caught in the belly of a monster like this. This is a great shot though, filmed from the perfect vantage point. And the people around Stevens Pass will be stoked that they have some new gladed terrain once things settle out.
